The 4th Annual Women in Surgery South Florida (SoFlo) Meeting, held on April 29, 2026, at The Club at Weston Hills, brought together a vibrant community of medical student, surgical trainees, and practicing surgeons. A cornerstone of the evening was a deep dive into Life Coaching, a structured professional development model designed to empower surgeons beyond the operating room. We extend our sincere gratitude to our guest speaker, Dr. Holly Neville, whose expertise in evidence-based coaching principles guided the session.
The program centered on:
- Holistic Growth: Supporting career advancement alongside leadership development and personal well-being.
- Actionable Skills: Utilizing goal-setting, active listening, and resilience-building to navigate the unique challenges of a surgical career.
- Wellness & Community: Strengthening our professional bonds while providing practical tools to reduce burnout and improve work-life balance.
The session successfully empowered participants to redefine success through intentional self-evaluation, a positive mindset, and clear goal-setting.
Thank you to all who attended!
